Sundial Ethiopian Teff - One of the world's oldest cultivated crops, teff is native to Ethiopia, where it's used as a basic staple, and to make a traditional bread known as "injera".  It contains no gluten, and does not cause hay fever or allergic reactions.  It has more food value than most grains, contains 15% totally digestible proteins, and is rich in an abundance of nutrients such as Iron, Calcium, Copper, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Potassium, B Vitamins, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Manganese, and Zinc.  Because of its highly nutritious profile, teff supplies more energy than most other foods, builds & strengthens red blood cells, and is supportive of the muscles, bones, ligaments and tendons, which makes it an excellent food for very active people, especially athletes.  Teff, as a daily food, may also be very beneficial for those suffering from anemia.  Our teff is available as a whole grain or as a flour (ground whole grain).  Teff can be eaten by itself as a hot morning cereal, can be combined with other grains or meals to make porridge, can be mixed into protein shakes, or combined with other flours in baking or to make dumplings.
